so we are sitting in the hostel waiting to go to the train station so i thought i would update the blog.
Amsterdam was amazing, this town is such a freaking circus…there is so much to do and so much to see. I had no idea where i was half the time, not because of drugs, but because the city is so dense and the streets are so small, it is hard to find a landmark to guide you home.
so bayley and i got to amsterdam, checked into our hostel, and then amazingly found the others just wandering in the streets, it was really that easy. We then just spent the night eating and walking around, we discovered the rolo mcflurry, america doesn’t have shit on these overseas mcflurrys. It was a pretty chill night, we got a good nights rest and the real journey began the next day.
We woke up and headed towards anne franks house, i dunno some little girl with some story, unfortunately the line was ridiculous, and none us being of jewish decent, it just wasn’t worth the time…instead we decided to take a bike tour. Now if you don’t know amsterdam…traffic is crazy…especially bike traffic, everybody bikes, even babies, they are strapped on the front of the bike with the groceries…no big deal. I was pumped, cause i love riding my bike in norman….not the same at all, this was way more of an adrenaline rush, im pretty sure we could have died, and it only cost like 19 euro. We saw a lot of the city.
we went to the red light district…we saw some prostitutes in the window…its kinda like shopping for a puppy, except instead of a cute furry little dog with huge puppy eyes, its a prostitute, in her skivvies and nothing else.
We then had the most amazing italian dinner…and we were in amsterdam. but kelci and i split some amazing tortellini. it was damn good
earlier today we went to the van gogh museum, and it was really awesome seeing a lot his work, also a lot of early picasso’s were on display too. did some shopping, ate some more…ya know..k we have to leave ill add pics later.

and i by this i mean mind the gaps in my posts…im doing the best i can.
Ok so bayley and drew’s first break off, We woke up early on saturday??? ( im going to be really bad with day’s, im in europe…i kinda don’t care) and got on our train to london :)
this smile soon turned sour after we arrived in london and found out our hotel reservations had been cancelled
luckily the company we booked through, refunded our money and booked us a new hotel, that was nicer and kind of in a better location. All was well
Bayley and I explored london that night and had a really good meal of korean bbq and then got to be early for an awesome day the next day…which included parliament, west minister abbey, picadilly circus, the british museum, buckingham palace, the millennium bridge, the tate modern and much much more.
The next day we took it easy and went to the british library and then shopping at harrods…that place is ridiculous…i opted not to buy anything, i still have 30 days of the trip left…i didn’t want to spend all my money in one store.
That night we saw wicked…it was amazing…ive seen it in New York, but it was so much better with british accents.
Im pretty sure im going to have to come back to london, i didn’t get to experience it all in two days, i think i’ll start looking for my flat when i get back.

Ok so thursday May 19…that could be wrong, i’ve lost track of time, bayley’s parents made us an amazing breakfast, and then ms. kistler dropped us off at the airport. here we made up with jenn and kelci…and then bayley and them left me in the amazing will rogers airport…
kelci’s dad was awesome and he bought me a beer and we talked about politics, my future, and pretty much how much america sucks…i was ready to leave. Finally Travis and Christina arrived together (surprise, surprise) and we got on our plane to chicago. got to chicago and then the excitement started setting in, it honestly seemed like 5 seconds and then we were on the plane to europe. Id say it was an exciting flight….but it wasn’t. it was long and boring, and travis did what he does best…bother me. After 8 hours and 2 oscar worthy film viewings (shrek and the tourist…i slept through both)…we finally arrived in paris.
We stepped of the magical plan….and then walked through customs, they pretty must just let me in…didn’t care how excited i was or who i was…i could have had a bomb in my pocket…they didn’t care…in and out…just how i like it. America should go back to those convenient days of not having to strip search everyone.
We got to our hostel and surprise, we weren’t allowed to check in till 4…and i was tired as a dog…i hated my life…but whatever i was in paris.
we had some amazing pizza and then went to the hostel living room and i listened to some awesome music on paris’ version of mtv.
checked in at 4, took a 3 hour power nap and then guess what i saw….
yup thats right, the eiffel tower, and i was surprisingly underwhelmed…but i was in europe and thats all that mattered
